03) Editing your pages

This article reviews how to modify your CA Connect pages.    Details CA Connect pages have been built and loaded (with templates) for every Department, Course Catalog page, Course Section, Club, and Organization at CA. The idea is that there is a minimum consistent architecture for the pages, and a consistancy in approach for all the similar content. If you are the teacher, coach, advisor, in a department, heading a club, or running an organization, please consider what content a new person, who doesn't already know your group, might need to know to feel welcome.   When you have that:

Editing a Page

Navigate to the page you want to edit and then select Edit Page at the top.

If you don't see the full set of editing icons, that may be because your account hasn't been automatically set up with those permissions. This can be the case if this is the first day that you have logged into CA Connect. If by 24 hours you don't see a change, please contact tech_support@concordacademy.org

This will then load the editor:

Here you will see the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) rich text editor. You can change text, italicize, bold or any other common document edit function.

Special Note when working from Microsoft Word Files:

Microsoft Word injects extra "junk" into text that messes with online editors. To counter-act this, please use the "Paste from Word" button to try to get around this.

Edit Summary

Once you've made your changes, it's always good practice to make notations on what you have edited in your documents. This will take the guess work out when you are working on documents with others or when you go back in to make more changes.
