Opening Days Information and Schedule

We are excited to share information about the beginning of the 2019-20 school year, specifically information for Orientation and Registration for all new students, as well as returning student Registration.

“Opening Days” is how we refer to the days leading up to the first day of classes. Please review the Opening Days Calendar at the bottom of this document in its entirety.

The first two weekends of the year are Community Weekends, which means all students participate in at least one school event each weekend, and boarders remain on campus. All 9th graders will be on campus on Saturday, September 7, 9:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m., for extended orientation programming. The second Community Weekend of the year will feature Club Expo on the evening of Friday, September 13, an exciting introduction to student clubs, organizations, and affinity groups!

New Boarding Students

Registration is open to you from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Student Health and Athletic Center (SHAC) on Friday, August 30. Signs and student leaders will direct you to the SHAC when you arrive on campus, where you will receive your housing assignment. It is best to park in the West Gate parking lot when you arrive. A letter from Annie Bailey, the Director of Residential Life, will be coming soon, along with a packing list and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for boarders.
