Information about the space:
The projector which projects on the short wall is projector 1.
The projector which projects on the long wall is projector 2.
Audio and video input plate 1 is adjacent to the second sconce on the left, as you enter from the hallway. The cables are labeled “DISPLAY 1 HDMI” and “DISPLAY 1 VGA”
Audio and video input plate 2 is adjacent to the first sconce on the left, as you enter from the hallway. The cables are labeled “DISPLAY 2 HDMI” and “DISPLAY 2 VGA”
The Crestron AV control plate is located just above input plate 1.
To use projector 1 only:
- Connect to either “DISPLAY 1 HDMI” or “DISPLAY 1 VGA”, at AV input plate 1.
- Press either “DISPLAY 1 VGA” or “DISPLAY 1 HDMI” on the Crestron control. The screen across from projector 1 will automatically roll down and the projector will start. “DISPLAY 1 VGA” and “DISPLAY 1 AUDIO” will be automatically selected on the Crestron control panel.
- To use the HDMI input, press “DISPLAY 1 HDMI” after the projector has started.
- When sound is needed and you are using HDMI, you may have to select “NP-PA521U” as the sound output on your laptop.
- When you are finished projecting, press “DISPLAY 1 OFF”. The projector will turn off and the screen will retract.
To use projector 2 only:
- Connect to either “DISPLAY 2 HDMI” or “DISPLAY 2 VGA”, at AV input plate 2.
- Press either “DISPLAY 2 VGA” or “DISPLAY 2 HDMI” on the Crestron control. The screen across from projector 2 will automatically roll down and the projector will start. “DISPLAY 2 VGA” and “DISPLAY 2 AUDIO” will be automatically selected on the Crestron control panel.
- To use the HDMI input, press “DISPLAY 2 HDMI” after the projector has started.
- When sound is needed and you are using the HDMI input, you may have to select “NP-PA521U” as the sound output on your laptop.
- When you are finished projecting, press “DISPLAY 2 OFF”. The projector will turn off and the screen will retract.
Note: using the above settings, with two sources (laptops, DVD players, etc.) one connected to input plate 1 and the other connected to input plate 2, you can display a different image on each projector, at the same time.
To show the same image on both projectors:
- Connect to either “DISPLAY 1 HDMI” or “DISPLAY 1 VGA”, at AV input plate 1.
- Press either “DISPLAY 1 VGA” or “DISPLAY 1 HDMI” on the Crestron control. The screen across from projector 1 will automatically roll down and the projector will start. “DISPLAY 1 VGA” and “DISPLAY 1 AUDIO” will be automatically selected on the Crestron control panel.
- To use the HDMI input, press “DISPLAY 1 HDMI” after the projector has started.
- Once you are displaying an image from projector 1, press the “MIRROR MODE” button on the Crestron control panel. Projector 2 will start and screen across from it will automatically roll down. Once projector 2 is on and the screen is down, press the “MIRROR MODE” button again.
- When sound is needed and you are using HDMI, you may have to select “NP-PA521U” as the sound output on your laptop.
- When you are finished projecting, press “MIRROR MODE”, then “DISPLAY 2 OFF”, followed by “DISPLAY 1 OFF”. Each projector will turn off and the screen will retract.
