How do I transfer a call?

This page will walk you through transferring a call (both blindly and not blindly) using your Polycom VoIP desk phone.

Resolution

Not Blindly

  • While on a call, press the soft button under “Transfer.”

  • Use the number pad to enter the extension of the person to which you’d like to transfer the call and press the soft button under “Send.”

  • The extension that you dialed will ring, the person on the other end will pick up, and you can explain to him/her that you are about to transfer a call his/her way. **NOTE: if you would rather skip this step, look at the instructions below for a “blind” transfer.**

  • When you are ready to do so, press the soft button under “Transfer” to complete the transfer and then hang up.

Blindly

  • While on a call, press the soft button under “Transfer.”

  • To see more options, press the soft button under “More” and then the soft button under “Blind.”

  • Use the number pad to enter the extension of the person to which you’d like to transfer the call and press the soft button under “Send.”

  • The call has been transferred, hang up.
