Registering your device on the Concord Academy Wireless Network


Overview

Explains how to register a personal device to the CA-Main Wireless Network. 

This is a tutorial for connecting and authenticating to Concord_Academy.

This tutorial was created using an Android Device. You will need to follow these steps, on campus. It is recommended to make your device "Forget" previous network connections to campus, such as CA-FacStaff, CA-Guest, etc.

You will need to be able to install an app on your mobile device. If you have an iOS device, you will need to know your personal Apple ID and password to complete this process.

Open up the settings application on your device.

1) Make certain WIFI is ON.

2) Select Concord_Academy

Open up the settings application on your device.

Enter your Public username and password.

This would be the same username and password that you use for OneLogin, CA Connect, Google Apps, and logins to School Computers.

1) At the Identity prompt, enter your username.
2) At the password prompt, enter your password.
3) Choose Connect.

Enter your Public username and password.

You should now be connected to the Concord_Academy WIFI network

Even though you are connected to Concord_Academy, you will still have to authenticate once more.

You should now be connected to the CA-Main WIFI network

Possible Errors

1) If you get a "Network Disabled because Internet Connection is Slow" error, make certain that your phone isn't connecting to an old network. 
2) If you get an "Authentication error occurred", you may have entered an incorrect username or password.

You will need to enter your username and password once more, on the Mobile Capture Portal.

1) Open a web browser on your device (we recommend Google Chrome). If the browser doesn't automatically send you to pass.concordacademy.org, enter another URL (like MSN.COM). A Google Search might not neccesarily trigger the appropriate response.

2) Enter your Public username and password.

3) Click the Log In button.

You will need to enter your username and password once more, on the Mobile Capture Portal.

Install the QuickConnect network configuration application.

After successfully authenticating, you should be presented with a Register Your Device page. You will need to Install the QuickConnect app, and install a Network Profile.

1) Click the Install QuickConnect button.

On an Android device, the ClearPass QuickConnect app page should open.

1) Click the INSTALL button.

Accept the conditions for using the app.

1) Click ACCEPT.

Open the app.

1) Click OPEN.

Open the app.

Select the last step in the process.

1) Click the Next link.

Install the Network Profile

1) Click the Install Network Profile button.

ClearPass QuickConnect should start the provisioning process.

A security policy might require you to choose an unlock pattern or PIN for your device.
