Connecting to Concord Academy WiFi

Background

Concord Academy provides wireless network access for laptops and phones brought to campus by members of the community. In most cases, connecting a device to the campus WiFi is easily done by following the steps below. If you have difficulty, please find our email below to open a support ticket. 

Answer

To connect to our campus wireless networks:

Students:

  • Verify WiFi is turned on and select "Concord_Academy" from the available networks.
  • When you are prompted by your computer to enter a username and password, please use the CA username and password provided to you. (As a reminder, this is the same username & password combination you would use to login to CA Connect.)
  • Once that is entered, open a web browser and navigate to a public website (like www.nytimes.com).
  • You will be redirected to a Concord Academy page with two links, OnGuard for Windows and OnGuard for Mac. Select the version that matches your computer OS.
  • The ClearPass OnGuard Agent will be downloaded. Once the download is complete, please install it.
  • After installation, you will be prompted to login, please do so with the same CA username and password provided to you.  

Faculty/Staff & Campus Residents:

  • Verify WiFi is turned on and select "Concord_Academy" from the available networks. 
  • When you are prompted by your computer to enter a username and password, please use your CA username and password. (As a reminder, this is the same username & password combination you would use to login to CA Connect.)
  • Once that is entered, you may be prompted to trust the connection, please do so.
  • You should now be connected!

Guests:

  • Choose "CA-Guest" from the available networks.
  • Open a browser window, and attempt to navigate to a public website (like www.nytimes.com).
  • You should be taken to a Concord Academy page, asking you to register. 
  • Please fill in these fields. Once that is complete, you will get a text and an email with your username and password for CA-Guest. 
  • One registration is valid for up to 7 days. Should be need CA-Guest access after that time, you will have to re-register by filling out the form.
